It's one dimensional day today!

That means, everything must be black and white, and nothing is allowed to have a shade of grey _at all_. Isn't that just special?

Remind me again why I decided to read web blogs looking for reactions to the riot?

I think I will.

Although it was interesting to see some of the news programs. Depending on what side of the political spectrum they lean towards, seems to indicate what side of the fence they come down on re: Was this a mutant started thing, or a human started thing.

Why they can't just say 'Both sides behaved like utter idiots, can we please now actually talk rather then throwing bricks at each other?'

Why is it, whenever anything goes wrong the finger pointing is always the first thing done?

Because it's rationalised as being easier to deal with a single identified cause (ie, an individual or group) than it is to deal with nebulous social issues such as bigotry and aggression as a conditioned response. Instead of looking at why people reacted violently and trying to establish a dialogue, it's easier to blame mutant or human extremists and just ban or arrest them.

All I know is both sides had equal amounts of casualties.
