So, did I miss something? Have teenager vs adult lines been drawn?

I'm pretty sure the Prof. is doing his 'letting people do their thing' non-interference thing he does but seriously.

When I came here I was one of the worst, most horrible brats you've ever encountered. If it weren't for the adults and a whole mess of help and forgiveness I'd be dead.

We don't gotta be all lovey but like, having kids feel like they're ignored or not wanted is a total power keg of bad decisions waiting to happen.

We gotta find a way to live here and with them without goin' mad, right?

Anyone got any thoughts?

I mean, sticking a bunch of people of varying ages in one place is gonna cause some weird interaction, which is - y'know, whatever it is. But speaking from recent experience, I'm not trained to deal with kids. Expecting me to intuit how to handle them (when they're not actively attempting to injure themselves through pure stupidity, which seems to be Quentin's MO lately, someone not me should really look into his issues and coping mechanisms, fuck how do I get myself into these situations, Jesus) is kind of unrealistic.

Anyway, I'm with Adrienne on this. Tutoring's fine, cause math and science are awesome, but it's weird having fourteen year olds show up to what's otherwise and all-adult movie night at 11p. Also weird: having 14 year olds text you nonstop for a week. Weird and uncomfortable. I'm just saying.

Anyway, you don't gotta interact with the kids is what we're saying. Although if you're tutoring them, you might wanna brace yourself for some of them seeing you as 'responsible adult type'

Especially the boys - although maybe the girls too. I totally imprinted on the adults here when I was a kid. Sometimes just having someone show even the slightest shit about you when you're kinda tired and beaten down is enough to make you think 'awesome! Person who gives a shit! You're my new best role model'

I am still here, though not as much as I used to be. I've been spending most of my time on continuing education in the city.

Quentin Quire is a telepath and telekinetic. I haven't spoken to him personally. Currently he needs to work on his telepathy, which isn't something I can help with right now. I think Jean has the most contact with him.

I don't know what Jean's been doing with him, but I know Jessica Jones has been doing some productive work with Quire. He's almost tolerable at the office nowadays.

Good to know. I'm not particularly in touch these days, so I'm not certain who's been handling his training.

When you're in a better place, I could use your help with my powers. No rush, just... yeah. They're being weird again. Not dangerously so, just annoyingly so.

Unfortunately my telepathy is still essentially gone, so I can't just pop the hood this time. It's possible I can rule out some things, though.

How are you doing? I saw you were back but it's been kinda busy as - didn't have time to check on everyone.

I'm fine, just occupied with the last steps of my certification. It's a few thousand hours of practical experience.

Weird in that I can now apparently Read something THROUGH something else. Like, if I touch a shirt I can Read the Phone in the front pocket. Which would be great. But I can't control it. It's like being back to square one with my powers. I can control whether or not I Read the shirt, but I have no control over whether or not I read the phone.

Really? Dude, that sucks? Anything I can do?

I've been working with him. It....didn't go well. But hopefully that might change. He's got a lot of anger to work through.

Well, if it becomes an issue let me know. I'm not sure what I could do for him at the moment, and frankly I'm not sure anyone inexperienced should be around my mind right now, but it's an option.

Thanks, I think I can handle it, but if he becomes too much I'll give you a shout. Quentin's my first psi-student which is a bit of a trial by fire, lol. I might pick your brain later for some pointers on future lessons, should he decide to actually come back. He did something that I didn't tolerate so he flipped me the proverbial bird and stormed off.

Well, it's our first lesson. I'm expecting some blowback. But I'm mostly afraid I'm going to run out of ideas or ways to help him learn. It was kind of fun to teach, though. I got to show off my new astral armor.

I legitimately have no idea. Maybe it was programmed into her Xavier's phone or something. I had number programmed into mine when Summers gave it to me.
